Meal
- 2 eggs fried in bacon grease left over from yesterday
- Stove top espresso with raw milk
- 2 pieces of toast with butter and jam
This is about a lifelong vegetarian who was raised macrobiotic learning to eat meat and working out. I am doing this in a way that is consonant with my upbringing, which also happens to be fashionable right now. For a large part of my childhood my parents grew most of our food and purchased the rest at a food coop. I am making this change now to support fitness goals that I don't believe can be supported by a vegetarian diet. More details will be added over the life of this blog.
Although it is a personal preference, I like my bacon well done. It's looks like yours could use another minute in the pan - that would draw out the flavor a bit more, otherwise it is just chewing fat. Gross.
ReplyDeleteAlso, there is a lot of variation in the bacon family- try different curing or flavorings if you have the opportunity.
