John had promised me fresh sea bass from North Carolina and he delivered. After an afternoon of cruising around Williamsburg checking out the new King Kog, hipster girls, getting coffee for him and bourbon and ciders for both of us we went back to his place. He made a simple dinner, preparing the sea bass on the stove top with salt, pepper and olive oil.
I guiltily wolfed the small piece of fish down with lots of couscous in every bite. It was extremely mild and almost creamy in its flakiness.
My hippy cred just went down a lot. But I always hated patchouli, so no big.
